The LG Velvet was announced in May and it’s one of the few LG devices that has a pretty good buzz around it. The company massively changed up the design and put more care into the small details, which is something that has been missing in the past. As mentioned last month, the LG Velvet is coming to North America, starting with the U.S. this week.
LG has launched the Velvet in South Korea and a few European countries so far, but starting tomorrow (July 22) it will be available in the U.S. as well. AT&T will have it first, starting tomorrow, but Verizon (as expected) and T-Mobile will be getting it “later this summer.” Pricing starts at $599 and AT&T will have four colors available: Aurora Gray, Aurora Silver, Aurora Red, and Pink White.
To recap the LG Velvet, it gets 5G support from the Snapdragon X52 modem in the Snapdragon 765G SoC. Other specifications include a 6.8-inch OLED display, triple rear cameras, 6GB of RAM, a 4,300mAh battery, microSD card slot, a headphone jack, stylus support, and LG’s Dual Screen accessory. LG did not reveal any pricing for the Dual Screen accessory from the U.S. carriers.
