Amazon Reportedly Talking to OEMs about Installing Amazon Services on Android Devices

According to someone “familiar with Amazon’s thinking”, it seems like the ecommerce giant has plans to increase their presence in the mobile space. Amazon is allegedly in talk with OEMs at a “factory level” and trying to get them to replace Google’s services with its own. The report doesn’t reveal who, but Amazon described India as a “trillion-dollar market”, so it could happen there first.

OPPO Sold 50 Million Smartphones Last Year

Now that 2015 is over and done with, companies are able to calculate how many devices they sold throughout the year. Oppo did just that during a recent press event where they announced that 50 million smartphones were shipped in 2015. The company credited 15 million of those sold smartphones to the Oppo R7 series (R7, R7S and R7 Plus).
