Along with other features, Android M has brought along Fingerprint Support to the OS.
This comes in the form of an API for developers, ensuring standardized support across the OS and devices.
Use cases for Fingerprint Support includes Android Pay majorly.
You can also use the fingerprint to unlock the device and make Play Store payments thanks to Open Authentication API’s.
Demo Example included a new Target App which starts processing payment on presenting it a valid fingerprint.
