When Google Now was announced three years ago, it revolutionized the mobile space backed by Google’s knowledge graph, and today, the next step in this direction was announced, called Now On Tap. This new addition to Google Now aims to bring quick answers to contextual questions, wherever you are and in the moment you need it.
As part of the demonstration, a device playing Skrillex music was shown, and Google Now proceeded to answer a question when it was asked using “his” instead of an explicit mention of Skrillex. Another demonstration showed an incoming email regarding a movie, and Now On Tap brought up a card regarding its information and a link to its trailer on YouTube, intelligently reading the email and identifying the important data points
